Magazine Cover Types

1. Early Magazine covers
   -  Had paintings on them.
   - Just a pretty picture, that had nothing to do with the inside. 
   - Morals and Ethics.

2. The Poster Cover
  - Very few words, not designed to work with the picture.
   - Picture is the most dominant piece. 
   - Very visually appealing.
   -  If there are words they relate to photo, and in general they would have a page number to go with.    
   - The picture better be great Or the person or something that is very well none
Disadvantages:
   - It doesnt tell you whats more inside.
   - Can be boring.
   - Pick a real good picture to catch attention.
3. Pictures Married to Type
   - The words dont cover the most important parts of the photo, in fact they work with the photo.
   - The words relate direct to the words on the color and they they tell us what were gonna see in the             magazine. 
   - They work together and help each other out. 
 Disadvantages: 
   - It may not be visually appealing to the masses
   - You have two things to catch your eyes, either eyes or pictures.
4. In the Forest of Words
   - lots of words organized in headlines and sub headlines style. topics.
   - headlines are different size, colors who combine, font
   - One major picture, and another smaller.
   - The picture is not the most important element, the words can cover importants part of the picture.
   - It has multiply points of entry.
 Disadvantages:
   - Cluttered.
   - It takes away from the photo behind it.
Stuff that should be on my magazine cover:
  - Title.
  - Picture.
  - Date.
  - Price.
